Landscaping

There are also things you can do around your house and yard to make it less appealing to fleas. (Bonus: these methods also help keep ticks away.) Keeping the grass neatly trimmed will help, as fleas love to lurk in tall grasses. You’ll also want to pick up debris, such as fallen branches. If you have trees or bushes around your house, trim them back so the branches don’t touch your walls or windows. We’d also recommend picking up fallen produce, as it can attract animals that carry fleas and ticks, like deer and rodents.
