OUR VETERINARIANS

Meet the folks who make it all happen. We see big potential in every moment, & care deeply about what we do every day.

Dr. Tina Roggenbeck

Veterinarian/Co-owner of VHC

Dr. Roggenbeck didn’t initially set out to become a veterinarian. In fact, it is actually her second career. That’s not to say it’s not her calling – a fact that her many awards and the countless clients she has served over the years provide ample testament to.

Dr. Roggenbeck graduated from Michigan State University – College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2001. In addition to her professional career as a practicing vet, she also started a non-profit organization for homeless animals. In 2013, she was named Humanitarian of the Year by the Humane Society of Bay County and in 2014, America’s Favorite Veterinarian listed her among the top 10 in the nation. She would go on to take the national title just a year later. Professionally, she is inspired every time she looks into the eyes of an animal in need.

Outside of work, Dr. Roggenbeck is married to her BFF. Together, they have a small zoo of their own, including two German shepherds, a paint horse and a slew of rescue cats.

Dr. A.J. Seamon

Veterinarian

Welcome Dr. A.J. Seamon to Veterinary Health Center (VHC) of Saginaw, Michigan. Dr. A.J., a native Saginawian, hails from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, St. Kitts, with clinical completion from Michigan State University. His interest in the field stems from his love of animals, and the desire to provide compassionate care for his patients. He has a personal style that puts clients at ease, with emphasis on clear communication in an understandable manner. The three pillars which serve as the markers of his personal philosophy include dedication, a strong work ethic and empathy.

With over a decade in the field, Dr. A.J. has a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of animal care. He enjoys solving puzzling dilemmas utilizing state of the art technology and diagnostics to do so. He is proficient in preventative care, emergency care, surgery and end of life care; he has a particular affinity for small animal dentistry and dermatology.

As an interesting side note, in life, things often come full circle. This is certainly the case for Dr. A.J., as Dr Tina Roggenbeck (owner of VHC) served as a mentor and catalyst for the trajectory of his career. This relationship began shortly after A.J. was in high school. Recently, they re-connected and Dr. A.J. made the decision to return to Saginaw to join Dr. Tina at VHC as a practicing partner. Together, they have a synergy and collective drive which they hope will serve the Saginaw community well moving forward.

A firm believer in animal advocacy, Dr. A.J. has devoted countless hours to the rescue, care and treatment of animals in need through volunteerism. In his spare time, he enjoys entertaining his family and friends playing the guitar, a passion which has enabled fundraising for animal shelters in the past. Dr. A.J. has recently joined the board of Angels Among Us, Inc. (non-profit arm of VHC), and is looking forward to supporting local initiatives in support of animals in need.
